Reflecting this Thanksgiving on all I have to be grateful for, I couldn’t help but think on my incredible European adventure of the past year. I spent seven months of 2013 exploring abandoned castles, wandering down cobble-stoned streets, eating gelato and generally feeling like I’d stumbled into a fairytale.
The first three and a half months were spent studying and traveling in Ireland. Though I could easily ramble on in praise of the stunning scenery, rich history, spiritual influence and important literature, I won’t. Instead I’ll show you pictures of clothes.
Though of course there are exceptions, Irish and Dubliners in particular seemed to favor grunge- and punk-influenced looks, with lots of Dr. Martens, distressed denim or leather, and red and black. A fair bit of animal print was common, too, as you’ll see from the photos. Here are some of my favorite shots.
